2026 Scholarship Applications Now Open!

Scholarship Opportunities and Guidelines

  • Sam Cichello Memorial Scholarship: It is the Milton Foundation for Education’s honor to award the Sam Cichello Memorial Scholarship for 2026. Sam Cichello was a Tucker student when he tragically died in a playground accident. Sam was a curious, hands-on kid that loved science. 

    The Milton Foundation for Education (MFE) is offering an opportunity for Milton High School seniors that plan to pursue a career that requires further study in the area of Science and/or STEM. Further Study could include a two- or four-year college/university, a certificate program or a trade school. MFE will award up to one but maybe more scholarships, which carry a value at least $1,000.00 each, in recognition of the accomplishments and aspirations of MHS graduating seniors. Each senior should complete the application, provide their high school transcript and write an essay of 200-300 words. Applications can be obtained on our website or through Milton High School Guidance Department. All three documents (Completed applications, essays and transcripts) can be sent to scholarship@miltonmfe.org by Tuesday, April 28th @ 5pm.

    NOTE: Please feel free to include a resume with your application but it is not mandatory.

MFE will award at least two scholarships, possibly more, each valued at at least $1,000.00, in recognition of the accomplishments and aspirations of MHS graduating seniors. Each senior should complete the application, provide their high school transcript, and write an essay of 200-300 words. Applications can be obtained on our website or through the Milton High School Guidance Department. All three documents (Completed applications, essays, and transcripts) can be sent via Google Doc or to scholarship@miltonmfe.org by Tuesday, April 28th, at 5pm.

  • Mark G. Walsh Annual Memorial Scholarship. It is an honor for the Milton Foundation for Education, in partnership with the Walsh Family, to award the Mark G. Walsh Annual Memorial Scholarship for 2026. Mark - a proud graduate of Glover, Pierce, and Milton High School (class of 1991) - passed away in 2025. He was a Milton Police Cadet, a student working toward his Master’s degree, a long-serving police officer, and a decorated Boston Police Detective. A Milton resident, he was a devoted son, father, husband, sibling, and community member. 

    To honor his memory, Mark's family and friends have generously funded this scholarship to support a student interested in becoming a first responder, law enforcement officer, medical professional, union apprentice, or working in the public safety field. 

    The Mark G. Walsh Memorial Scholarship will award up to three scholarships, each valued at $1,000. MHS seniors who meet the criteria listed above should complete the application below with the requested supporting documents and submit it directly through this form. If you have questions or encounter difficulties, you can send your application directly to scholarship@miltonmfe.org. Applications are also available through the MHS Guidance Department.
